Authorities in Passaic County are looking into the motive behind a shooting that injured several people in Paterson Friday morning.
According to initial reports, police responded to gunfire reports that rang out near the Exxon Gas Station located in the 700 block of 20th Avenue around 2:10 a.m.
Police officers arrived at the scene and found evidence that a shooting occurred, but no victims were found after searching the area.
A short time later, police say officials at St. Joseph's Hospital notified them that three victims arrived at the hospital separately suffering gunshot wounds.
None of the injuries were reported as life-threatening as of 4:45 a.m.
The suspect fled the scene and remains at-large.
