Newark emergency responders extricated an unconscious man from a vehicle involved in a crash in a section of Newark’s South Ward this afternoon.
The two-car crash happened across the street from Weequahic High School on Chancellor Avenue around 1:20 p.m.
Police say two vehicles slammed into each other, pinning the driver of one of the cars inside with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Firefighters used the Jaws-of-Life during the operation to free the victim.
The crash left both vehicles with significant damage according to police.
