Passaic County officials announced that at approximately 10:26 p.m. on Monday, members of the Clifton Police Department were dispatched to the area of Fleischer Place and Mahar Avenue in Clifton on a report of shots fired.
Police say responding officers located a victim, 34-year-old male Belleville resident.
According to police, he was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound.
The victim is in stable condition police said.
Officers located evidence of a crime scene in the area of Fleischer Place and Mahar Avenue, Clifton.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
