Investigators in Orange are on the search for suspects who robbed a man of his groceries on a street in the city on Tuesday evening.
According to police, the gunpoint robbery happened just before 7:15 p.m. near the intersection of Scotland Road and Forest Street.
Police officials said units were called to the scene to investigate reports of an armed robbery in progress.
When they arrived, they found the unidentified victim, who told officers that after leaving a nearby supermarket and attempting to return to his him with groceries, he noticed a suspicious vehicle with suspects inside slow down then pulled under the Forest Street underpass about a half-block away.
Once the victim reportedly got closer to the vehicle, a male suspect exited the dark-colored 4-door vehicle with an object that resembled a bat and slim build Hispanic male jumped out of the passenger side with a pistol in his hand.
According to reports, the suspect demanded then took two bags filled with groceries and a backpack with the victim's work clothes inside before the men entered the car and sped away westbound on Forest Street.
The victim did not suffer any physical injuries and the suspect remains at-large.
