According to Passaic County officials, at approximately 1:15 p.m. today, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of 17th Avenue and East 30th Street on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival members of the Paterson Police Department located evidence of a crime scene but were unable to locate a victim.
After the scene was secured an unknown vehicle drove through the intersection and fired several more rounds.
A short time later members of the Paterson Police Department were flagged down by a 15-year-old juvenile victim who sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound.
Police said the juvenile victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
