NJ State Police are looking into an incident where a male jumped from a bridge in Paterson on Wednesday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, police responded to reports of suspicious activities on one of the bridges near I-80 west near Route 19 around 10 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene and found an unoccupied vehicle on the bridge, according to police.
During the search of the area by officers, they found an unconscious and unresponsive man lying on the southbound ramp to Route 19.
Medical personnel pronounced the unidentified man dead at the scene, according to police.
Police believe that the victim parked his car on the bridge then jumped to his death, but the investigation into the incident remains active and ongoing.
There is no foul play immediately reported by police.
