Aberdeen Police are on the scene of a pedestrian strike with fatal injuries on a highway in the Township at this time.
According to a preliminary investigation, police were called to the vicinity of NJ-35 and Cliffwood Avenue to investigate reports of an injured person around 6 a.m.
Upon arrival, police found a severely injured, unconscious and unresponsive person lying on the ground at that location.
Police say the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office has been notified of the incident.
