A man suffered fatal injuries after being shot at a location in Orange Friday evening.
According to Essex County officials, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Orange Police responded to reports of shots-fired that rangout in the vicinity of 193 Main Street.
When officers arrived, they found a male victim suffering a bullet wound in his chest at that location.
Police say the victim was rushed to University Hospital in Newark, where doctors pronounced him dead a short time later.
Officers canvassing the scene found shell casings, but no suspects were located, according to police.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation and The Essex County Prosecutor's Office will handle the incident.
