Police in Bayonne are looking into the cause of a pedestrian strike that injured a person on a highway in the city on Wednesday evening.
According to police, at approximately 9:35 p.m., police were called to the NJ-440 and East 22nd Street to investigate reports of a pedestrian down.
Upon arrival, police found the victim suffering non-life-threatening injuries after a car struck them at that location.
The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment and is expected to make a full recovery.
The incident remains under investigation.
