The Mercer County Homicide Task Force is currently investigating a homicide that occurred in Trenton on Tuesday morning.
According to police officials, at approximately 2:30 a.m., the Trenton Police responded to the 200 block of Pearl Street on reports that a male was shot.
Police reported that officers located the victim, a male in his 20's, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officials said that he was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police have been able to identify the victim as Jeremy McTamney, 26, of Trenton.
City officials have reported that this is Trenton's 37th homicide this year.
