Passaic County officials announced that at approximately 3:53 a.m. on Sunday, members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that a 48-year-old male Bergenfield resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson seeking treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound.
Based on the initial investigation it is believed the shooting took place in the area of Elizabeth Street and Main Street police said.
After the victim was shot, police said the unknown actor took the victim’s phone and wallet.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
