Somerset County Issues Crime Alert Related to Recent Motor Vehicle Thefts

Somerset County

Somerset County officials announced a crime alert to Somerset County residents due to an increase in motor vehicle thefts which occurred over the weekend in the county.

Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson stated that overnight from Friday, October 16, into Saturday, October 17, and on Saturday into the early morning hours on Sunday, October 18, seven motor vehicles were stolen in Somerset County.

The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office wants to remind all citizens to not leave keys or key fob in vehicles and make sure to lock their vehicles even when the vehicle is in their driveway.
