Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Adrian Lapinski, 29, of Garfield, on charges of Possession and Distribution Of Explicit Images of Minors.
The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to officials, on Thursday, October 8, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of Lapinski during an investigation.
An investigation revealed that Lapinski used the Internet to view, download, and possess approximately 130 digital files depicting explicit images of minors.
As a result of the investigation, Lapinski was arrested on Thursday, October 8, in Paramus, and charged with Distribution Of Explicit Images of Minors and Possession Of Explicit Images of Minors.
Lapinski was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
