There is an active investigation underway as police look into the circumstances surrounding a shooting with two victims injured in a section of Newark’s West Ward.
According to police, the double shooting happened around 6:54 p.m. in the vicinity of 484 South 20th Street.
Police arrived at the scene after receiving reports of shots fired and found both victims suffering gunshot wounds.
One of the victims is reported in serious condition.
The motive for the shooting has not been determined and the suspect is at-large.
There have been six people shot in Newark since Sunday.
