Authorities in Morris County are investigating a pedestrian strike that killed a person on a street in Mine Hill on Tuesday evening.
According to officials, at approximately 6:50 p.m., police and EMS were alerted to a person lying on the ground in the vicinity of 217 West Randolph Avenue.
Upon arrival, police found the unidentified victim suffering severe injuries after being struck by a car at that location.
Police said the victim was pronounced dead a short time later.
The incident remains under investigation.
