Two female victims were transported to University Hospital for treatment after a crash in Newark's Central Ward left them injured early Tuesday morning.
It happened at approximately 1:35 a.m. on Martin Luther King Boulevard, when NJIT Police arrived on the scene of a crash with a car overturned.
Police say the driver of the car lost control and crashed, causing the vehicle to overturn.
Both victims managed to self-extricate before emergency responders arrived, according to reports.
The crash remains under investigation.
