Police in Newark are on the search for the driver of a car that fled the scene of a crash that involved a school bus Saturday afternoon.
Police said in a statement, at approximately 3:45 p.m., a school bus, occupied by 13 occupants, was struck from behind at the intersection of Springfield Avenue and South 11th by a black Audi SUV.
According to police, the driver did not remain at the scene.
Five students from a local school and two adults reported complaints of pain.
Police say no other injuries have been reported.
This incident is under investigation.
