Plainfield Police are looking into the motive for a stabbing incident in a section of the city Monday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, at approximately 11:35 p.m., police were called to the 100 Block of Elmwood Place to investigate reports of a person stabbed.
Units arrived at the scene and found the unidentified 23-year-old male suffering a stab wound in their chest.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment for non-fatal injuries.
There were no arrests immediately reported.
