State Police officials in NJ are investigating the cause of a motorcycle crash that severely injured a rider on a highway in Monmouth County on Sunday morning.
According to NJ State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 1:00 a.m. in the southbound express lanes of the Garden State Parkway in Aberdeen Township, Monmouth County.
Officials said preliminary information indicates that in the area of milepost 119.7, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle ran off the left side of the roadway, ejecting the driver.
According to police, the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation and there were no other vehicles involved.
