Police in Newark searched a section of the city for a vehicle that was carjacked in Bloomfield on Friday evening.
According to preliminary reports, police received information that a vehicle carjacked in an unspecified area of Bloomfield was in the vicinity of South 9th Street and 11th Avenue West just before 11:50 p.m.
In the Bloomfield carjacking, police say the suspect pointed a gun at the victim and stole their silver Honda minivan.
Police say the vehicle has a reported NJ license plate number ”URM-53Y”.
