Police in Newark are reporting the arrest of Mr. Supreme Cockran, 26, of Newark, for tampering with a city surveillance camera and weapon possession today.
According to police, shortly after 2:10 a.m., police responded to Madison Avenue and South 15th Street on a call of an individual tampering with a city surveillance camera.
Police said officers observed a man at the camera, who fled on foot upon becoming aware of police presence.
The suspect was located on South 14th Street, where he was immediately arrested and found in possession of brass knuckles.
Police say they charged Cockran is with criminal mischief and weapon possession.
These charges are merely accusations.
This suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
