Firefighters are on the scene of a multi-alarm fire that destroyed several buildings in a section of Paterson early Saturday morning.
According to officials, at approximately 3:47 a.m., firefighters were called to 86 Redwood Avenue to investigate reports of a fire at that location.
When crews arrived at the scene, they found a two and a half story wood-framed house fully involved in flames and extending to at least two other properties.
Officials say heavy and intense flames forced firefighters to perform an exterior operation where they surrounded the structures then poured water on the fire from all sides.
As of 4:25 a.m., there no reports of injuries and the fire has not been placed under control.
The cause has not been determined at this time.
