Police took a suspect into custody after a high-speed pursuit that ended in a crash at a housing complex in Newark's West Ward Saturday evening.
According to authorities, police began to follow the vehicle after attempting to get the driver of the stolen vehicle out of Bergen County refused to pull over.
Police say the driver began to speed through the city's West Ward before the ar crash at the Bradley Court Housing Complex located in the 80's block of Munn Avenue around 7:50 p.m.
Four suspects bailed from the car and led officers on a foot pursuit through the housing development police were able to capture one of the assailants a short time later.
Police say EMS treated the suspect for non-life threatening injuries and all police officers were accounted for and uninjured.
