Hudson County authorities are looking into the official cause of a pedestrian strike that killed a person in a section of Kearny Friday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, police were called to the vicinity of NJ-7 and Fish House Road to investigate reports of a person down in the roadway around 9 p.m.
Upon arrival, emergency responders found the severely injured who was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police closed one lane, which caused heavy traffic into Jersey City.
The incident remains under investigation.
