Police in Newark are investigating a carjacking that occurred in the city's East Ward on Thursday night.
According to police, at approximately 2:15 a.m., officers were flagged in the area of Raymond Boulevard and Mott Street.
Police say the victim reported that a male suspect took their silver Mercedes Benz with temporary tags from that location. The suspect sped from the scene on Raymond Boulevard and remains at-large.
There were no physical injuries reported.
