Newark Police Seek Publics' Help with Locating Theft Suspect

Newark Police request the public’s help with identifying an individual connected to incidents of theft that occurred on August 28.

Police officers responded at approximately 3:30 p.m. to a call about a theft from an automobile at two addresses near the 100 block of Schofield Avenue.

Surveillance video captured the suspect checking vehicle doors in that neighborhood. Several items, including a wallet and an electronic device, were taken.

Police report that the suspect was wearing a black True Religion sweatshirt with a hood, blue and white stripe Kappa pants and white sneakers.

While police are actively searching for the suspect, they seek the public’s help so that he can be located.
