Officials from The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office are investigating a shooting that involved a police officer in Asbury Park Friday night.
According to officials, police responded to reports of a barricaded armed man at an address in the 900 block of 4th Avenue just before 9:35 p.m.
Offcials say, some time during the standoff, at least one officer fired their weapon striking the suspect. It is not clear if the suspect brandished or fired the weapon at police.
The unidentified male was transported to Jersey Shore Medical center for treatment and remain in an unknown condition.
Asbury Park officials say there were no injured officers.
The investigation into the police-involved shooting is under investigation.
