Middlesex County authorities are looking into the cause of a crash that left one person dead and at least one other injured in Woodbridge Sunday morning.
Police have not released much information on the incident, but according to preliminary reports, at approximately 1:40 a.m., police responded to the vicinity of 1400 Rahway Avenue to investigate reports of a crash with injuries.
Upon arrival, police found a car that crashed into a pole with trapped occupants inside the vehicle at that location.
Police say one person suffered fatal injuries and at least one other victim was airlifted to University Hospital with a severe leg injury.
The cause of the crash is under investigation and no other information has been released at this time.
