Police in Newark are on the search for suspects who conducted a violent carjacking that their victim injured in a section of Newark Sunday morning.
According to police, it happened in the 100 block of Fairmont Avenue in Newark's Central Ward around 1:20 a.m.
Police say the driver of a white Mercedes Benz S550 was approached by armed suspects who demanded the vehicle.
According to police, during the incident, one of the suspects began to fire shots at the victim before speeding away in the car.
Police say the unidentified injured person was rushed the short distance to University Hospital and remain in an unknown condition.
The suspects are still at-large.
