Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred this morning in Jersey City.
According to police, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Clinton Avenue and JFK Boulevard just after 8:25 a.m.
Police report that they arrived to find a male suffering bullet wounds. The victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center and officials report that he is in serious but stable condition.
Police say that the suspect is a black male who was last seen fleeing the area with a tank top on.
The incident remains under investigation.
