NJ State Police are investigating a pedestrian strike that happened on a highway in NJ Thursday afternoon.
Officials said the incident occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway near milepost 152.4 in Bloomfield.
According to officials, preliminary information indicates that a 50-year-old male fell from the Watchung Avenue overpass and landed in the center lane.
Officials say he was transported to University Hospital in Newark, where he was last listed in serious but stable condition.
It is unknown how the man fell from the overpass and the case remains under investigation.
