Police in Newark are investigating a shots-fired incident that occurred in a Newark North Ward community Thursday night.
According to police, gunfire rang out around 10:50 p.m. in the vicinity of 161 Garside Street.
Officers arrived at the scene and found evidence that a shooting occurred, but after police searched the scene, no victims were found.
Police say at least one shell casing was found at that location.
The shooter fled the scene and remain at-large.
