Bloomfield Playgrounds to Reopen Saturday with Social Distancing Rules

Bloomfield

Bloomfield has announced that eight township playgrounds will reopen on Saturday, August 1, after being closed as a precaution against COVID-19.

The township said that the playground equipment will be disinfected every morning and social distancing and facemasks will still be required.

“Ensuring that our families are safe and limiting their exposure to COVID-19 is our number one priority, which is why our playgrounds have been closed during this crisis,” Mayor Venezia said. “However, it is also important that our children have the ability to go outside and enjoy Bloomfield’s outstanding playgrounds.

Mayor Venezia also asks that everyone who visits that playgrounds follow the rules on masks and social distancing and wash their hands or use hand sanitizer after visiting, out of an abundance of caution.

Signs will be placed at the playgrounds with rules that must be followed to prevent the possible spread of COVID-19. The playgrounds will be open from 10:00 a.m. to dusk and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
