There were severe injuries reported for a person struck by gunfire in a section of New Brunswick Sunday.
Police said the early Sunday morning shooting happened at approximately 12:47 a.m. on Ramsen Avenue.
According to reports, police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the area and when officers arrived, they found the unidentified victim bleeding from their chest.
Police say the victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.
There were no reports of arrests or suspects sought.
Police said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
