There is an active investigation underway into the motive behind a stabbing incident that injured two victims Friday night in Hackettstown.
According to preliminary reports, it happened just before midnight in the vicinity of 202 West Baldwin Avenue.
Police say they received reports of a physical altercation at that location. When they arrived at the scene, officers found an unidentified person suffering a stab injury in the chest and a second person suffering a laceration to their hand.
Both victims were transported to the hospital for treatment according to police
There were no immediate reports of an arrest.
