Police in Orange are on the search for several suspects wanted for shooting a person during a violent robbery in the city Sunday evening.
According to a preliminary statement by police, at approximately 7 p.m., a black Nisan Altima occupied by four heavily armed men pulled up to the victims who were in the 500 block of Nassau Street.
Police say two of the armed suspects jumped out of the vehicle and pointed guns at the victims' heads while demanding personal possessions.
According to police, while the suspects were committing the robbery, two other suspects who, stayed in the car, produced rifles and pointed them at the victims for extra robbery coverage.
Police say during the incident, a suspect fired a shot that struck the victim in the shoulder. EMS rushed the injured male to University Hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition.
Police say the second victim was not injured but the suspects stole two Apple iPhones, the key to his Maserati, the key to a Bentley, the key to his Chevrolet Suburban and a Louis Vuitton cross messenger bag containing his driver's license, bank cards and keys to his residence.
According to police, a canvass of the area revealed one 9 MM shell casing on the scene.
The investigation is active, ongoing and the suspects remain at-large.
