Passaic County authorities announced that at approximately 3:26 a.m. Saturday, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of East 24th Street and 14th Avenue in Paterson, NJ, on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, responding officers located a potential crime scene, but were unable to locate a victim.
A short time later, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of 21st Street and Madison Avenue in Paterson, on a report of an individual who had been shot.
Upon arrival, responding officers located a 25-year-old male Paterson resident who sustained two non-fatal gunshot wounds.
The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, NJ, for treatment.
Based on the initial investigation, the 25-year-old male was shot in the area of East 24th Street and 14th Avenue.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
