Middlesex County officials announced that police are investigating a motorcycle fatality in which the passenger was killed.
The identity of the female victim, who was pronounced deceased at the scene, is not being released pending notification to the family.
The preliminary investigation has determined that on July 16, at approximately 11:50 pm, a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling on Route 35 North in the vicinity of Industrial Drive, when it lost control causing the two occupants to be ejected.
The driver was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital to be treated for his injuries and the passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash is being investigated by Patrolman Henry Penley of the Old Bridge Police Department and Detective Erik Larsen of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
