Police said at approximately 11pm, Wednesday, a black Yamaha motorcycle, traveling Route 18 north failed to stop for a red signal light at Ferry Road.
Police say the motorcycle struck a black Lexus which was turning left from Rt 18 south onto Ferry Road.
The motorcycle operator Mr. John Flanagan, 19, Aberdeen was transported to Old Bridge Hospital where he did not survive his injuries.
The driver of the Lexus received minor bruises and cuts from broken glass.
Old Bridge Police Fatal Accident Unit conducted the investigation.
