The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Crash Investigations Unit is investigating the death of 54-year-old Pleasantville man who was found lying dead in the roadway, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.
According to Prosecutor Tyner, on Wednesday at approximately 1:03 a.m., Pleasantville City Police officers responded to a report of a deceased male lying in the roadway.
Officials said the the victim was found on the Black Horse Pike (Rt. 322) and Chestnut Street.
Police identified the victim as Rickie Jackson and said he was found lying in the outer westbound lane of the Black Horse Pike.
Police said Jackson had a medical bracelet on his wrist indicating he was recently released from the hospital.
The ACPO Crash Investigations Unit will be assisting Pleasantville City Police Department with the investigation.
