The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office announced that they will host a Town Hall meeting today, July 15, to discuss police use of force.
For those wishing to attend in person, the event will be at The Donald M. Payne Sr., School of Technology, located at 498-544 West Market Street in Newark from 6 p.m to 8 p.m.
Masks are required and social distancing will be followed. For those who are unable to attend in person, the event will be on Facebook live.
Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal and a representative of the New Jersey State Police are expected to join the conversation.
Other speakers include Acting Prosecutor Stephens, Acting Chief of Detective Mitchell McGuire, Deputy Chief Assistant Prosecutor Alex Albu and Victim/Witness Coordinator Pamela McCauley.
All participants are asked to pre-register whether they plan to attend in person or virtually.
