One person suffered severe injuries after a two-vehicle crash on a street in Linden.
According to preliminary reports, emergency responders were called to the vicinity of 848 Elizabeth Avenue to investigate reports of a crash around 7:22 p.m.
Upon arrival, they found a white pickup truck was involved in a collision with burgundy SUV.
Crews immediately began the process s of extricating the driver from the SUV who was trapped in the badly damaged vehicle.
Police say the driver was freed from the vehicle then rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Police have not determined the cause of the crash at this time.
