Newark Police offcials issued a citywide alert for police units to be on the lookout for suspects occupying a vehicle used in multiple commercial robberies in the city overnight.
According to police, about four armed black men who occupied a stolen white BMW toured sections of Newark and robbed three gas stations beginning around 11:45 p.m.
Police say they received reports from employees at The Exxon at 37 Springfield Avenue, Gulf gas station that's located at 242 Elizabeth Avenue and The Exxon station located at 1 Elizabeth Avenue.
According to police, in all the incidents, the suspects arrived in a white BMW and pointed weapons at employees before taking unknown amounts of cash before speeding away from the scene.
Police believe the suspects are also wanted for robberies of victims on streets in all five wards during their heist.
Officials say officers found the unoccupied vehicle on Morris Avenue.
There were no physical injuries reported.
