Newark Police are investigating a two-car crash that occurred at approximately 10:05 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8.
According to police, the crash near the intersection of Wilson Avenue and Avenue P in Newark's Ironbound section.
During the collision, one of the vehicles involved overturned trapping a woman inside.
Firefighters were able to free the woman from the vehicle and she was then transported to University Hospital for treatment.
No other injuries were reported at this time.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
