On Sunday, July 5 at approximately 4:10 p.m. a man allegedly assaulted a 71-year-old store clerk with a crowbar.
According to police, the suspect reportedly entered the Quick Mart at 701 Knopf St in Linden and assaulted the victim with a crowbar before fleeing the store west on Knopf St toward Rahway.
Officials report that the employee was treated for minor injuries at RWJBH Rahway Hospital and later released.
The investigation is currently active and ongoing
