Authorities executing a search warrant for a suspect wanted by police shot and killed a dog at a home in Orange this morning -Thursday-.
According to a preliminary investigation, at approximately 11:40 a.m., residents in the 500 block of Cary Street heard gunfire rang out in the quiet neighborhood.
When they looked out the window, they saw several armed police officers exit unmarked cars and began to enter a home on the block.
Officers opened fire on the dog after it aggressively charged at cops inside the house.
One suspect was taken out in handcuffs and the deceased dog was placed in a yellow body bag according to residents.
There were no other injuries reported.
