Authorities in Bergen County are looking into a shooting incident that occurred in an Edgewater hotel Wednesday morning.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to reports of a person shot in the parking lot at the Comfort Inn located on the 700 block of River Road shortly before 3:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, police found an injured, unidentified victim suffering a bullet wound at that location. The injured was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Police believe the shooting was self-inflicted, but the investigation remains active.
