Newark Police requests the public's help with identifying suspects for a theft that occurred on June 24.
According to police around 4:40 p.m., the victim was walking his dog in the 100 block of N. 11th Street when one of the male suspects approached him and began talking to distract him.
Police say the second suspect walked up behind the victim and snatched the chain off of his neck.
Both men, who are described as having a slim build, ran westbound on Park Avenue.
Police say the first suspect was wearing a white T-shirt, black sweats and white sneakers. The other assailant wore a black T-shirt, blue shorts and black sneakers.
While detectives investigating this incident are seeking the public's help in quickly identifying these suspects, Director Ambrose urges anyone with information about them to call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
