Authorities Thursday arrested three boys who attacked and robbed two others of cells phones among other items, police said.
Police patrolling the area near 16th and Littleton Avenues shortly after 4 p.m. observed a group of approximately 10 males assaulting two other boys, who were fleeing from the group, police said.
When officers approached the group the teens scattered but three of the juveniles were caught.
Later Thursday, victims reported the robbery to police, telling authorities they were walking on Fairmount Avenue when they assaulted and robbed of several items including cell phones by the group.
The victims sustained minor injuries, according to police.
During the investigation, police recovered cell phones and a coat stolen in an Irvington robbery, police added.
The three youths, ranging between 14 - 15 years of age, were each charged with three counts of robbery and conspiracy.
