Authorities in Jersey City are looking into the motive behind a shooting that injured a man in a section of the city on Thursday evening.
According to police, at approximately 6 p.m., police responded to reports of an injured person in the 90's block of Van Cleef Street.
Upon arrival, police say they found the male victim suffering an apparent bullet wound in his back at that location.
The unidentified person was transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment and remained in stable condition.
There were no arrests reported.
